Damp Cellar Tanked and Converted into a Games Room

Lindley, Huddersfield

The stone cellar under this Victorian terrace was damp, dark and full of old furniture. Tanked and converted, it is now a games room with a pool table.

The walls and floor were fitted with a cavity drainage membrane and a pump, then plastered, so the room stays completely dry. The original stone stairs were kept, and the small window to the front was replaced and opened up.

Grey carpet tiles, spotlights and a wall mounted TV turn it into the room everyone heads to on a Saturday night.
