The owners of this 2000s house wanted somewhere to cook and eat outside. A large porcelain patio with a pergola has turned the back of the house into an outdoor room.
Large format anthracite porcelain slabs run from the patio doors to a new rendered block wall with a built in barbecue counter. A black aluminium pergola with adjustable louvres shades the dining table and keeps the rain off.
Low voltage lights set into the walls and steps mean it gets used long after dark.
