Great Sankey, Warrington
The integral garage on this 2000s house was only ever used for storage. Converting it has given the family a second living room for the children.
The garage door opening was bricked up to match the house with a new window, and the floor raised and insulated. A doorway was knocked through from the hall so the room feels part of the house.
With carpet, spotlights, a TV and plenty of sockets, it is now where the children play and watch films.
