With three children under eight, the formal dining room in this Edwardian semi was the first room to go. It is now a playroom built to survive anything.
Full height cupboards in the alcoves either side of the chimney breast hide every toy at the end of the day. A long built in bench seat with lift up lids runs under the bay window, with more storage inside.
The walls were painted in a hard wearing washable finish and the old carpet replaced with oak effect vinyl that wipes clean.
