Newport, South Wales
The back yard of this Victorian terrace was cracked concrete and a broken shed. It is now a small, green courtyard the family actually sits out in.
Grey porcelain paving was laid across the whole space with a slight fall to a new drain. Two raised sleeper beds along the sides are planted with grasses and herbs, and new slatted fencing makes the boundaries feel neat and private.
A small bistro set, festoon lights and a climbing jasmine on the back wall finish it off.
