A single storey extension wrapped around the back and side of this 1930s semi a few streets from the seafront has given the family one big kitchen, dining and living space.

White bifold doors open the whole back onto the garden, and two roof lights bring light into the middle of the plan. A grey Shaker kitchen with a long island sits in the side section.

The floor is a warm wood effect vinyl that copes with sandy feet.
