Glencoe, Highlands
This new black timber house in Glencoe was designed around one thing: the view of the mountains from the living room.
One whole end of the room is a single frameless window, six metres wide, with a deep window seat running along it. The ceiling is lined in Douglas fir and the floor is polished concrete with underfloor heating.
A hanging fire in the corner keeps it warm when the weather comes in.
