Converted Methodist Chapel in the Yorkshire Dales

Hawes, North Yorkshire

This Victorian Methodist chapel in the Dales has been turned into a home without losing its sense of height.

The main room is one tall open space, with the tall arched windows and the timber ceiling kept. A steel and oak mezzanine at one end holds the bedroom, with the kitchen tucked underneath it.

A wood burner on a stone hearth heats the whole space.
