Bearsden, Glasgow
The dining room of this red sandstone villa had lost its panelling decades ago. It has been rebuilt by hand to match a surviving piece found behind a radiator.
The new oak panelling runs to shoulder height around the room, with a deep teal above and the original plaster cornice restored. A round extending table sits in the bay window, and a brass chandelier hangs from the ceiling rose.
It is now the room the family uses every Sunday.
