Glass Box Extension on a Georgian Townhouse

At the back of this listed Georgian townhouse, a frameless glass box has added a dining room without hiding the old stone.

The walls and roof are structural glass, held together with glass fins and almost no metal, so the Bath stone of the house stays fully on show. The old back windows were opened up into wide doorways from the kitchen.

Sitting at the table, it feels like eating in the garden.
