Spare Room Turned into a Welcoming Guest Bedroom

Oadby, Leicester

For years the spare room in this 1960s semi was where the ironing board lived. With family visiting more often, it has been turned into a proper guest bedroom.

A botanical wallpaper on the bed wall gives the room some personality, with the other walls painted to match. A single fitted wardrobe was built into the alcove, and new skirting, doors and carpet finish it off.

It is a simple, practical refresh, but guests now have somewhere comfortable to stay.
