Walthamstow, London
A full width rear dormer has given this Victorian terrace a new double bedroom at the top of the house, with room to stand up right to the back wall.
A wide window in the dormer looks over the gardens behind, and two rooflights in the front slope bring light to the stairs. Built in cupboards make use of the low eaves at the front, keeping the room clear.
The new stair was fitted above the existing one to save space, and the room was finished with white walls, oak effect flooring and spotlights.
