Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
Letchworth was the world's first garden city, and this Arts and Crafts house still has many of its original details. The master bedroom renovation set out to celebrate them.
A William Morris willow pattern paper now lines the wall behind the bed, with the rest of the room painted a soft green grey. The leaded casement windows were restored and a deep oak window seat built into the bay, with drawers underneath.
Fitted oak wardrobes with simple heart cut outs, inspired by the original cottage doors, line the opposite wall.
