Nether Edge, Sheffield
By borrowing a metre from the big front bedroom, this 1930s semi now has an en-suite shower room, so mornings no longer mean queuing for the family bathroom.
A quadrant shower fits neatly into the corner, with a small vanity basin and a short projection toilet alongside. Light grey wall tiles and a darker floor keep it simple and easy to clean.
A new stud wall, an extractor fan vented through the roof and a sliding pocket door save every centimetre of space.
