Cedar Tree House Built Around an Old Oak

Wadhurst, East Sussex

At the bottom of a garden in the High Weald, a two hundred year old oak now holds a cedar clad tree house for the whole family.

The cabin sits four metres up with the trunk rising straight through its deck. A timber spiral stair winds up one side, and a rope bridge crosses to a small lookout platform in a neighbouring tree.

Inside there is room for a daybed and a desk, with a long window looking out across the fields.
