Chester, Cheshire
On the second floor of a Georgian townhouse inside Chester's city walls, this bathroom has been rebuilt as the kind of room you would expect in a grand hotel.
Honed Calacatta marble lines the floor and the walls to shoulder height, with painted panelling above in a deep forest black. A sculptural stone resin bath sits in front of the tall sash window, and all the taps, rails and lights are in unlacquered brass that will age gently.
A marble topped vanity with twin basins and a walk in shower behind a fluted glass screen complete the room.
